Absence Management Services – AMS
Employees who are absent from the office on sick leave, mental stress, short term disability or long term disability leave employers out of pocket. These costs go beyond the price to pay the employee’s salary for time to recover. Factoring lost productivity, temporary replacement staff and the immeasurable cost of decreased employee morale, employee absence becomes a costly problem. Your solution to controlling employee absence is AMS!
QuikCare Platinum has been designed to take care of your employees’ health so you can focus on taking care of your business.
QuikCare Platinum provides a unique healthcare benefit to your employees by allowing those who are placed on a medical wait list greater than 21 days, immediate access to diagnostic scans (MRI/CT scans) and specialist consultations with the cost fully covered.
Independent Medical Evaluations – IME
IMEs may be conducted to determine the cause, extent and medical treatment of a work-related or other injury where liability is at issue, whether an individual has reached maximum benefit from treatment, and whether any permanent impairment remains after treatment. An IME may be conducted at the request of an employer or an insurance carrier to obtain an independent opinion of the clinical status of the individual. Workers’ compensation insurance carriers, auto insurance carriers, and self-insured employers have a legal right to this request. Should the doctor/therapist performing the IME conclude that a patient’s medical condition is not related to a compensable event, the insurer may deny the claim and refuse payment.
Functional Capacity Evaluation – FCE
An FCE is set of tests, practices and observations that are combined to determine the ability of the evaluated employee to function in a variety of circumstances (most often work), in an objective manner. Physicians change diagnoses based on FCEs. In determining appropriate suitable modified duties, FCEs are critical.
Preparing for a Certificate of Recognition (COR) Audit? As your partner, TeksMed plays an important role in the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Certificate of Recognition (IM/RTW COR). A successful IM/RTW COR Audit will grant your business a 5% incentive rebate.
Your TeksMed team will schedule a pre-audit visit to your office to review a customized COR Audit kit specifically designed to ensure full compliance and readiness for the COR Audit. The customized COR Audit kit can also be utilized to streamline your internal audits.
How can you tell when your employee is genuinely injured and unable to work? The note from the employee’s doctor has the last word, right? Catching workers’ compensation fraudsters in the act is a very strong deterrent with other employees who might otherwise have contemplated making fake claims of work-related injury. Upon employer’s request, TeksMed can set up surveillance evidence to have a questionable claim shut down.
Meet with one of our client relationship managers who will review your company’s experience rating history and overall performance in efforts to assist you in developing a strategic approach to injury management and prevention. Your consultation will be complimented by a detailed summary report.
